An Overture
to a Life in Music

I have been teaching piano for nearly 30 years and have worked with thousands of students of all ages and skill levels. My passion for both music and music education continues to shape and refine my teaching approach.

I earned four music degrees — three in Piano Performance and one in Music Theory/Composition — from the University of Texas at El Paso, University of Arizona, and Manhattan School of Music. I also learned from master teachers at internationally recognized music programs including the Aspen Music Festival, Beijing International Music Festival/Academy, and Vladimir Feltsman’s Piano Summer program in New York.

My goal is to combine this extensive training with an understanding of how students learn best, helping each child develop both strong musical skills and a lifelong love of music.
